A Sugarbush Getaway

Good morning- before I get to my post today, I wanted to announce the winners of my blog anniversary giveaway. The winners, which were chosen using Random.org, are as follows:

Kim Farrell- you’ve won the Slam!

Ashley Parent- you’ve won the Spark!

Congrats, ladies! I can’t wait to see what you think of the products. Please email me (burpeestobubbly@gmail.com) with your address information so I can get you the products. I likely won’t get them out until next week as I’m leaving for San Francisco on Thursday! Thanks so much to everyone else for your thoughtful comments 🙂

Hi there! A few weekends ago, RM and I headed north with some of his friends for a ski weekend. Mind you, before this trip, I hadn’t skied since college, which was… gasp… 8 years ago? Maybe 7. But still- you get the idea. A real friggen long time. I was a little nervous about the whole weekend because I knew I was the only girl who wanted to ski, but I’m happy to say I made it through 2 days of skiing with no injuries and with ending each day smiling. I think that’s a huge plus!

RM and I headed up on a Thursday afternoon, which was nice because we were able to get there, get unpacked and settle in with some wine and quiet time before everyone else arrived. We got a fire going in the fireplace and I can’t believe how much the fireplace at the house we rented resembled the one in my parents house. It was crazy!

Getting out of dodge…

Hi friends! I’m just popping in for a quick post. What a crazy week, right? I don’t know about you, but I’m really just over this snow and the effects it’s having on the city and life in general. Between shoveling, saving parking spots, getting parking spots stolen, getting stuck in massive amounts of traffic, being on delayed or disabled trains… the city is not a fun place to live when it’s under multiple feet of snow 🙂

Needless to say, it’s been a rough week and I am SO looking forward to a weekend getaway to Vermont for a ski weekend at Sugarbush. I’m sure I’ll be posting on Instagram, so feel free to follow along for the fun 😉 I’m ready to be a more positive person, so hopefully after some relaxation, skiing, being outside, drinking wine and being with friends and RM, I’ll come back with a much better attitude!
