Tre Olive: Italian Olive Tree {with a discount code!}

For Christmas, RM and I got my parents a really neat gift. My parents are people who love being in the kitchen, and my dad is known as the “olive oil” king, so when RM asked if I wanted to adopt an olive tree in Italy for them, I was totally game. One of his friends from college started a company called Tre Olive, which is a company selling “100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil from olives grown in Italy, picked in Italy, pressed in Italy, and poured in Italy.” Their extra virgin olive oil comes directly from their groves in Calabria and “from tree to table, all TRE olive products are hand crafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality.”

The way Tre Olive works, is that you can adopt an olive tree from the Tre Olive grove for one year and receive a whole bundle of goodies at the time of adoption and lots of wonderful olive oil- from your tree (!!)- once the olives have ripened and are ready for picking, pressing and pouring. The standard adoption comes with the following:

All about the numbers: Are tracking devices driving us crazy?!

Has anyone else noticed how much we are encouraged to track EVERYTHING lately?

– We’ve got heart rate monitors to track our beats per minute during exercise, which correlates to total calorie burn

– We’ve got running watches to track our distance, pace, calories, etc.

– We’ve got apps galore! Ones to track our runs, our workouts, to provide us with workouts, to track our food intake and calories

– We’ve got devices to track our steps

…. the list goes on, right?! I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I have or have had/used most of these. I was slightly addicted to my heart rate monitor while it worked- I loved seeing how high my heart rate would get and how many calories I burned in my workouts. Even worse? I loved sharing those high calorie burning workouts on Instagram!

My 3rd Stitch Fix: so hard to pick just 1 thing!

Well hello there! If you’ve been reading B2B for a while, you’ll probably remember me talking about Stitch Fix (this is a referral link, but don’t worry, you get one when you sign up, too!). What I love about Stitch Fix is that you get to set up a very detailed online profile listing out your sizes, style preferences, price ranges, etc., which ultimately helps your stylist pick the right fix for you. While my first fix wasn’t great, the next two were pretty awesome- here’s a recap of the first two in case you missed them!

My first Stitch Fix: Why didn’t I love it as much as everyone else seems to?
My 2nd Stitch Fix Review {Hint: I loved it!}

3rd Fix

I had asked for a sparkly dress or top or something else to wear to RM’s surprise party. Unfortunately, they did not have either of those things, but they still gave me quite a good fix!

Wednesday Workout: Full Body Medicine Ball Workout {warning: it’s a douzy!}

Oh hello there! Remember me? I used to post workouts for you on a weekly basis as a way to share what I do and to hopefully give you ideas or inspire you to get moving. The holidays definitely got the best of me, but rather than stressing about getting posts published, I decided to step away for a bit and focus on being more present in the activities I was doing (laying on the couch qualifies as an activity, right? 😉 ). The break was fantastic and not only did I have extra time with friends/family, I had extra time to try out new workouts on my own at the gym. Fancy that!

I’ve got a bunch of workouts stockpiled to share with you throughout the next few weeks, so I hope you’re as excited as I am (I’m also excited to throw away the scrap pieces of paper I’ve got laying around with the workouts scribbled on them!)!

Schoola’s #PasstheBag Closet Clean Out Campaign

Hi there! I’m just popping in quickly to share a few notes about the #PasstheBag campaign that my friend, Kelly, is helping to organize for her company, Schoola. Schoola is a company that helps raise money for schools so that they can provide instruments for music class, books for the library, art supplies for art class, etc. Schoola helps with this by collecting gently used women’s and kids clothes and re-selling those clothes items on their site- pretty cool, right? For every $5 spent on Schoola, Schoola gives $2 to the school of choice of the person who donated the clothes.
