I have been meaning to write a second “Currently I’m Crushing On…” post for a while now, but for one reason or another, I never got around to it. I’m hoping to make this a more regular reoccurring post series, so here we go!
I probably have some of the most chapped lips you’ll ever see. It doesn’t seem to matter how much chapstick I put on, my lips never get soft. RM jokes and calls me “chappy” and says I have this problem because I have big lips and therefore a bigger surface area to cover. I think he’s just full of it, but still. I have been trying to be better about keeping my list moisturized and this Chapstick has helped! I put the “night” side on before bed and when I get up and put the other end on throughout the day. While I still have chapped lips, they feel better when I put this on.
My parents got me this for Christmas and I LOVE it! Spiralized veggies are the best thing ever! I’ve made zucchini and summer squash “spaghetti” and I spiralized carrots for a curry dish. I can’t wait to do more with it.
I think it must be the blood orange season because not only are they delicious, they’re usually on sale! Whole Foods has been having a 4 for $3 special, so I’ve been taking full advantage of that!
Essie Nail Polish
I’ve been on a nail painting kick and Essie nail polish is my absolute favorite! There are so many great colors and they go on so smooth. The only problem is that I don’t have much patience to wait for my nails to dry.
Wood Wick Candles
These candles are amazing! They are super aromatic, burn clean and make a crackling sound like a real fire. TJ Maxx and Marshalls usually have them which is great because they’re super affordable!
Ok, so this isn’t really new, but lately it’s all I want to drink and I order it more often than not when I’m out. There’s just something so refreshing about a nice, crisp, bubbly adult bevvy that makes me so happy 😉
Push-Ups & Pull-Ups/Chin-Ups
One of my goals this year is to be able to do 5-10 unassisted pull-ups. Right now, I’m at 2 pull-ups and 3-4 chin-ups, so I think with some practice I can definitely get there. I want to get a pull-up bar for my apartment so I can work at it more often (and without gross gym guys watching me). As far as push-ups, I want to do them CORRECTLY, with my elbows tight and my chest dropping low. Last week, I worked on this by doing 2 at a time throughout the day and my workouts. This week, I’m doing 4 and you know what? I think I’m getting better at them! I read somewhere that the only way to get better with these is to practice the amount you can do with good form throughout the day. This way, you’re building the right muscles to help you do more push-ups in the future. If you keep practicing with bad form, you can only expect to keep having bad form, right? I’ll get there eventually!
Questions for you: What are you crushing on right now? Do you have any “must haves” that I need to check out? What’s a fitness goal you have this year?
